This exhibition, on display at the Esposende Municipal Museum, is part of the celebrations of the Municipal Museum's 30th anniversary and recreates the atmosphere that existed around a century ago in this space of the old Theatre-Club building, where the Espozendense Assembly met, a select group of Esposendenses, formally constituted, with defined statutes, who got together for recreational and leisure purposes.

Through the wide range of objects and pieces on display, visitors will be able to understand what life was like in the Sala dos Azulejos, with mannequins dressed to the nines, its century-old piano and snooker, as well as other furniture and various artefacts, such as grafonolas, crockery, walking sticks, bowler hats and top hats, women's artefacts, documents and newspapers from the time.

The exhibition, resulting from research and a dissertation in Architecture, focuses on the unique characteristics of the geographical location, territory, and architectural ensemble that define Ofir (Fão). It aims to encourage a multi-scale perspective and to highlight the singular value of the entire site. The exhibition features various graphic elements about Ofir and a model identifying the buildings that characterise this summer holiday hub, one of four of its kind in Portugal.

The Esposende Tourist Information Centre will host an exhibition of nativity scenes by Vítor Machado from November 23rd to January 8th of the following year.

Born in Braga, Vítor Machado has been dedicated to the arts since 2020, the year he ended his teaching career in secondary and vocational education. Despite having no formal artistic training, he has always enjoyed finding creative and ingenious solutions to everyday challenges. Working from a workshop set up in his home, he has spent recent years crafting pieces and products that showcase his creativity, combining diverse materials—some collected from natural environments, such as pebbles, and others salvaged from industrial waste, like metal components, stone, and wood.

Vítor Machado has participated in numerous individual and collective exhibitions and is the author of two pieces commemorating the 50th anniversary of the April 25th Revolution, which were previously displayed at the Esposende Tourist Information Centre. The artist now returns to the same venue after presenting the exhibition “Echoes of the Camino de Santiago” there in June and July.

Public exhibition of ecological Christmas decorations created by schools and Private Institutions of Social Solidarity (IPSSs) as part of the initiative “My Christmas is Ecological,” focusing on the reuse of materials and recycling of waste.

The Coro de Pequenos Cantores de Esposende will present a concert titled Songs of Hope, filled with the spirit of family, joy, peace, and hope. The performance will feature the sweet harmonies of the young singers and the debut of the piece Salve Regina by Albert Alcaraz. The concert is conducted by Helena Venda Lima, with support from the Município de Esposende, Escola de Música de Esposende, and the Paróquia de S. Miguel de Apúlia and UF Apúlia e Fão.
