The Miradouro do Picotinho, as it is popularly known, is located in the parish of Mar and has an elevation of 236m. At its highest point it has a Geodesic vertex of 3rd order.
Some archaeological objects of great interest were exhumed on this hill, called Sanfins, as they reveal a time when metal was used as an element of military and social importance during the Bronze Age. An argaric sword and a flat axe, both in bronze, are deposited in the Museu Regional de Arqueologia D. Dioso de Sousa Regional Museum of Archaeology.
The access to this viewpoint can be made to the west, through the path from the so-called "Pedra do Rei", on the Estada Real. It is a long climb uphill, between old-fashioned cobbled paths with large granite slabs or narrow dirt tracks.
If you want to cut across, the easiest way is from the access road to the Santuário da Senhora da Guia. You will have to take a right turn and then follow the path on foot, always along forest tracks or dirt tracks. The ascent is made along the eastern slope.
From there you can get a good view of the profile of the Arriba fossil and the most distant points are the towers of the Petrogal Refinery, in Matosinhos and to the north, you can, on clear days, also see the Serra de Santa Luzia and even the Serra d'Arga, which stands out well in the landscape for its flattened top. To the interior, it is easy to identify the houses of the parishes of Antas and Forjães, beyond the mouth of the river Neiva and to the east and the highest point of the county: the hill of Maceira (Vila Chã), with 284 meters high.
