Quinta da Calça
The Quinta da Calça, located in Madorra, Forjães, was owned for centuries by the Arriscado Mendanha family. The oldest documented reference to this estate dates back to 1770, and it later came into the possession of António Champalimaud. Currently, the Quinta da Calça, situated on the left bank of the River Neiva, has been owned by David Tomás' family since 1976.
The “Quinta da Calça” wine (white and red) is a selection of the finest grapes from the traditional varieties of the Vinho Verde region. The result is a young and smooth wine with a lightly fruity aroma. It should be served well-chilled, as an aperitif, or paired with salads, fish dishes, seafood, and white meats.
